I am a UK based handloom weaver who specialises in designing and making traditional handwoven rag rugs and wallhangings, with a modern twist, on a wooden floor loom.   I learnt the craft of handweaving in Sweden where rag rugs are still one of the most popular methods of floor covering. Apart from being a ‘green’ product when made from recycled material, and the repository of a piece of personal history if some of that material is meaningful to you, each piece I make is a unique, handcrafted item, with an exclusive design and colourway. Because the material is woven tightly together the rugs are extremely heardwearing and will last for many years to come.
